K3 Retail Portal unveiled at the Retail Business Show

Powered by Microsoft’s SharePoint technologies, the K3 Retail Portal will enable stakeholders to improve the buying cycle, strip out inefficiencies and control costs, by enabling them to combine collaborative applications populated with hard data extracted in real time from head office systems.

The solution is based on Microsoft SharePoint technologies that connects users, teams and knowledge to improve the flow of hard and soft information across retail organisations, so that people can take advantage of the information that matters to them.

Technical insight

The 2007 release of the K3 Retail Portal can run in parallel with earlier versions of the product deployed on previous versions of SharePoint technologies. The web services layer also enables backwards compatibility with historic versions of Dynamics NAV (2.6 and later). The portal platform presents a common ground for all enterprise data and workflows, thus integrating store and head office information and processes seamlessly.
