The new solution integrates a range of functions into a single application - complementing the usual EPOS functions are customer ordering, accounts, top up, lottery, catalogue ordering, product search and availability checks real time, access to web applications and time & attendance. Ordinarily, retailers would have to source these applications separately and from different vendors, while now they can source everything from K3 and have the confidence that the whole solution is built around the Microsoft technology stack.
The solution can also be connected to a wide variety of retail peripherals that are ideal for the convenience market and essential for managing traffic during peak and festive trading periods, these include fuel & forecourt management, mobile POS for queue busting, self checkout, and kiosks.
Using industry standard OPOS drivers the solution can also be easily configured for left–hand operation and has a simple layout and touch screen operation. This intuitive look and feel reduces training requirements.
The Microsoft Dynamics EPOS module can be easily integrated into the current IT environment as a Stand Alone, Hub and Spoke or complete ERP solution.
With BizTalk™ or Dynamics’ own Data Director as a universal translator, the EPOS application can communicate efficiently and easily with existing systems, while offering the high level of functionality within the Microsoft Dynamics EPOS module. Hub and Spoke Microsoft Dynamics can be employed to service the entire Store environment; providing functionality at the till and back office that integrates with existing 3rd party applications, e.g. SAP.
