28 January 2005 – Aldiss, leading independent furniture and home furnishings and fashion retailer, has commissioned new retail systems from leading Microsoft Business Solutions Navision Partner K3.
In April 2005 Aldiss will go live with the new system, a complete end to end EPoS solution including Financials, Warehousing and merchandising. Across the three stores and warehouse, there will be 50 tills and customer ordering points.
John Wheeler from Aldiss commented, "We have always been a company that is committed to customer satisfaction, and we are focused on improving the whole service we offer to our customers – from the widest range of furniture and homewares through to delivery. We were looking for a solution that would support all aspects of our operations as well as enabling increased flexibility and productivity throughout our business.”
He continued, "When selecting a system we looked at various options, K3 already had a good strong relationship with Microsoft. Microsoft being the leader in software we knew that the life cycle of this product would continue and go from strength to strength. We worked at great lengths with the K3 team looking at our business needs and how we could develop the software to be a complete match.”
K3’s Sales Manager Alan Brook commented, "Aldiss is a growing business, and while we have worked with large department stores such as Pearsons and Leekes in the past, the retail fundamentals are the same even where each business operates in different ways. It is great news that Aldiss selected us and our solution, and I am sure they will see the benefits very soon.”
Aldiss Superstores are Norfolk’s leading independent furniture and home furnishings retailer. They stock everything for the home from sofas, dining tables to bedding and cookware, from leading brands. Aldiss Fashions are a fashion retailer stocking male and female clothing. The store includes a Clarks shoes department and a new Intersport department.
K3 specialises in the implementation and application of business management software. The company is the major provider of the award winning Microsoft Business Solution Navision throughout the UK and Ireland. K3 Retail’s product Navision is a complete end-to-end retail solution from POS to back-office to head office.
