K3 serves up tasty technology treat for apetito Ltd
11 September 2009
apetito, Europe’s leading suppliers of quality frozen food and catering solutions, has selected K3, the UK’s largest provider of Microsoft Dynamics, to supply and implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 to improve customer service.
The project will enhance the Wiltshire Farm Foods website with the additional functions of Dynamics CRM (Customer Relations Management) and NAV2Net, which will link Dynamics NAV to the consumer website. Wiltshire Farm Foods is the direct-to-consumer brand of apetito, which operates 70 outlets nationwide, delivering meals to customers at home.
The new solution will allow customers visiting the website to place their orders, and by inputting their postcode, the order will automatically be allocated to the appropriate franchise for that area. The local franchise can then process the sales order and fulfil the delivery, with the payment being made via the website, which is automatically sent to the franchisee.
Paul Dryden, IT Manager, at apetito, said, “When I joined the company last year, I made the decision to evaluate all our existing IT platforms. It was clear we had to improve our service offering to the Wiltshire Farm Foods franchisees. I looked at the new K3 systems, and was impressed with what they offered our business. No other supplier could come close to what the K3 solution provided.”
Dryden continued, “With the new system, we will be able to deliver even better customer service. The automation of these processes means that we can get on with the important business of looking after our customers. We want to make the ordering process as easy as possible for our clients, and our franchises, and the new system is the most efficient way of achieving this.”
John Little, Sales Director at K3, said, “apetito had a business critical requirement to have a system in place that will make the online ordering process a more enjoyable experience for its customers. The business has exciting expansion plans which include being able to better identify their customers shopping habits by preferred choices.By achieving this, the company will be able to create marketing and promotional campaigns to target their audience in the most appropriate way, ultimately increasing their sales and boosting their bottom line.”
